Institute of Management Technology -  Center for Distance Learning (IMT-CDL), organized  its first ever Marketing Management Workshop at PHD Chamber of Commerce, New Delhi. The aim of this workshop was to present a confluence of academic knowledge and industry experience in the area of marketing.

The marketing management faculty of IMT CDL  presented the various topics in the marketing management which was supplemented with  real life case studies and discussions by industry  gurus from LG India, Times of India, SC Johnson, Canon India, and Videocon Telecommunications. The industry experts presented rich examples of the latest marketing management practices in their respective organizations.

The program started with lighting of the lamp by Dr. A. M. Sherry, Director, Dr. N K Dhooper, Professor Emeritus and others which was followed by an inaugural talk by Dr. Arun Mohan Sherry, Director of IMT-CDL. He talked about his dream of helping bridge the gap between regular management learning and distance learning through innovative programs such as this and also by effective harnessing of modern communication technology.

The students also enjoyed an highly innovative and interactive marketing quiz, which was designed and administered by Mr. Naveen Luthra. He was ably assisted by eager student volunteers. Prizes were distributed to the quiz winners.
A new marketing helpline was also announced on yahoo and google for the convenience of the students.
This full day workshop on marketing management was designed and administered by Professor Geeta Sarin and was well attended by around 400 students  at the lecture hall and  over  2000 students on a live webcast.
