Dr. Arun Mohan Sherry is a Ph.D., M.Sc.(Gold Medalist), M.Tech.(Computer Science IIT Kharagpur). He is a recipient of Anand Swarup Bhatnagar Gold Medal for securing highest marks in post-graduate examination. He is also a recipient of Brilliant Student Honor by Lions Club in the year 1987 & 1989; “Rabindranath Tagore Samman”-2011 for his contribution in the field of Technical Education.

He has participated in various training programmes organised by IIMs and IITs. His Specialisation is in the field of Computer Networks, inter-networking technologies and wireless communications. He has more than 19 years experience in teaching and research. He has delivered a large number of lectures as guest faculty at many universities and Institutes of repute. He is AACSB (The Association of Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) Accredited Faculty.

He has been the Chairman (Research), Chairman (Admissions), Chairman (Student Affairs) and Dean (Academics). Many candidates have already been awarded Ph.D degrees under his supervision and at present, he is supervising six candidates for the award of Ph.D. More than 100 postgraduate students have completed projects under his supervision. He has chaired/co-chaired many national and international conferences. His Articles & Interviews have been published by National News Papers like “Times of India”, “Economic Times”, “Hindustan Times”, etc; National Magazines like "India Today", "The Week", "Outlook" etc. and Electronic Media. He has been editor of reputed national/international journals. Dr. Sherry has published over 40 papers in international/national journals and conferences.

He has visited several countries like France, Austria, Malaysia, Dubai, Singapore, Taiwan etc for academic assignments. Recently, he visited Austria, Switzerland, South Korea and Mongolia as a delegate accompanying H.E. Mrs. Pratibha Devising Patil, President of India.

In the field of technical education, he has introduced the concept of online Digital Library, Online Learning Management System, Video conferencing, Self-instructional Manuals, online Assessment and Examination System to serve the student and faculty community in an efficient way. He has also introduced the concept of industry-university partnership to produce skilled manpower as per the requirement of the industries.

He has been Information Technology Consultant of National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd. (A Govt. of India Enterprise) and a Member of the Task Force for strengthening of Information Technology Application in Ministry of Power, Government of India.

Presently he is the Director of IMT-CDL, Dean (Student Affairs & Corporate Affairs) of IMT Ghaziabad and Chairman (Joint Admission Committee) of Ghaziabad, Nagpur, Hyderabad and Dubai campuses.
