Prof. T. K. Das, B.Com (Hons.), M.Com. (University of Dhaka, Bangladesh), MBA in Finance (FMS, University of Dehli), M. Sc. in Finance (University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK) and F.I.C.W.A (Fellow of the Institute of Costs & Works Accountants of India). After joining the Indian Audit and Accounts Service in 1970, he worked in various capacities in the offices (Accountant Generals, Director of Commercial Audit, etc) of the C&AG of India. He worked in the Agriculture Ministry, GOI, as Joint Secretary and Financial Adviser. Prior to this, he worked in the Finance Wing of various Ministries of the Govt. of India in various capacities such as Chief Controller of Accounts, Ministry of Education. In the project field, he worked with the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd in Bombay as Project Accountant for their refinery expansion projects. His last assignment was with the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations in Rome where he worked as Financial Controller for their National Project for Food Security in Nigeria. In the field of education, he started his career as a lecturer in a college initially. Thereafter, he joined the Civil Services of the Govt. of India and while serving there, he had the opportunity to work as Joint Director, National Institute of Management and Accounts, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India, set up for induction training of the newly recruited IDAS & ICAS Probationary Officers. For a very brief period, he worked as a Professor - Accounting & Finance in the IILM at their Greater Noida campus. Currently, he is in the Board of Directors of the UP Stock Exchange at Kanpur as a nominee of the SEBI.
